Assalamualaikum and Greetings All,
On 30th March 2013, Brunei Newcastle Society attended
the 10th BruNotts Easter Games (B.E.G). As usual, we departed from the Toons at 5am by coach and made our way to Nottingham University. The event started off at 9am with an opening ceremony speech given by the B.E.G Chairperson and UPP's Director of Studies. This year BNS sent
players to participate in Netball (2 Teams), Futsal, Table Tennis and Badminton.
Alhamdullilah, the day went smoothly, even when the Netball players&supporters
had to sit through the harsh weathers - YES! It was as if we were experiencing
3 seasons in one day - Snow, wind and sun! But despite all of that, the games
went extremely well.

We would like to give big congratulations
to Amir Taufik for winning first place in Table Tennis and Hassan and Faiz for
getting third place in the Men’s Badminton Doubles. Also, a great round of applause to the Futsal
team for getting in the Quarter Finals, and the Netball teams for playing so well! Thank you to everyone else who came to support us! Whether it’s your first, second, third or fourth time attending
the event, we hope you enjoyed it! Hope we could meet again next year; we’ll
come back faster, greater and better! InsyaAllah.
