BRULEEDS Mini Tournament 2010

Attention to alai-alai BNS NC dan abang-abang BNS FC sekalian (:

Leeds University Union Brunei Society (BRULEEDS) will be hosting BRULEEDS Mini Tournament 2010 (BMT) this autumn.

• 5 A Side Football (indoor) with registration fee of £50.00
• Netball (indoor) with registration fee of £60.00

Date: 30th October 2010, Saturday
Time: 09:15 to 17:00
Venue: Sports Halls (1A and 1B), Sports Centre, University of Leeds, Leeds, LS2 9JT

Only 8 places are available for both football and netball.

Opens on Thursday, 30th September 2010
Closes on Friday, 15th October 2010

BNS Sungkai 2010 & BNS Video Clip Recording II

Assalamualaikum semua (:

BNS Sungkai 2010 at Nyonya Restaurant last night was awesome. Alhamdulillah, everything went well. Also present last night, our super-duper seniors, seniors, juniors and friends. Hope you guys enjoyed your food, and had a great time catching up.

A heartfelt appreciation to Mansur Latif for his wonderful speech! Indeed, congratulations to our seniors who have completed their degrees and graduated with excellent results, also to those who have completed their masters. Congratulations! We wish you all a very bright future! Amin.

Thank you to those who came, it was really nice to have you all, and it was a pleasure to finally meet the juniors, although not everyone could make it last night, but insyAllah, we will see you in Newcastle then. The voting for the 2010-2011 BNS Committee was also cast last night by the seniors.

After sungkai and prayers, our video clip recording crew filmed our second scene of BNS Video Clip Recording at Bibi Khamimah's residence; the Bunga Api scene. A huge round of applause to everyone for their endless support. You guys're the best!

Hello September

Assalamualaikum everybody!

September has come, and for most of us, it is about time that we head home. Summer break is almost over, hope your time in Brunei has been marvellous and well-spent with your loved ones. I am sure most of us are ready for another chapter of Newcastle now. Don’t you guys just miss mengupi at Starbucks ramai-ramai? Speedy internet connections? Debit cards? Lectures and deadlines? The city? I am thrilled to fly back home!

Sheer anxiety, dear fellow juniors? I hope you guys are mentally and emotionally prepared for a whole new experience. Newcastle will feel like home (minus amah) to you, insyAllah – and BNS will be your family (:
